What happens to your question
Last updated 2026-09-21
You have reached this page from an assistant embedded on a company’s website. That assistant is built by Practicl and answers questions about that company’s product documents. This page describes what happens to a question you type into it.
It is not a full privacy policy. It covers one thing, in detail, and every statement on it describes how the system works today.
What you type
Your question is sent to Practicl, where it is used to find the relevant passages of the company’s document and to write an answer from them.
We store, against the company whose document you are asking about:
- your question, as you typed it
- the answer you were given
- which document and which link you were using
- the time, and technical measurements — which model answered, how long it took, how much text was processed
- your browser’s user-agent string, which describes the browser and operating system but does not identify you
The company whose document you are reading can see these conversations. That is the point of the product: it is how they learn what their customers are asking.
What we do not collect
We do not ask who you are. There is no sign-in, no account, and no name or email address is requested or stored.
We do not store your IP address. It is used in memory to limit how many requests one source can make, and is not written down.
The assistant sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Closing the tab leaves nothing behind on your device.
Because we do not collect anything that identifies you, we cannot recognise you across visits or across different companies’ websites.
Who processes it
Answering one question involves these providers:
- Anthropic — receives your question and the relevant passages of the document, and writes the answer. Processed in the United States.
- Voyage AI — receives your question in order to find which passages are relevant. Processed in the United States.
- Supabase — stores the conversation. The database is in Ireland.
- Sentry — records technical errors so we can fix them. It is configured not to collect personal information.
So: your question leaves the European Economic Area in normal operation, because the providers that read it and answer it are in the United States. The stored copy stays in Ireland.
How long it is kept
Conversations are deleted 90 days after they were last used, automatically. Not hidden or marked as deleted — removed.
Ninety days runs from the last message in a conversation, not from when it started, so returning to an old conversation keeps it.
The company whose document you were asking about can delete a conversation, and can be asked to.
Asking us about it
Because we hold nothing that identifies you, we usually cannot find your conversation from a description of you — but we will help where we can, and we will pass a request to the company whose document you were reading.
Contact us. If your question is about how that company uses what you asked, they are the right people to ask, and their own privacy policy applies to it.

The rest
Our full privacy policy and terms cover our relationship with the companies that use Practicl, rather than this one. They are drafts under review and say so.
